I hadn’t heard of this “Nazi Dog” video until someone just linked it to me on Twitter. I have to say, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen in awhile.

You know what’s not funny, though? The Scottish authorities arresting this guy over a comedy skit. Yes, that actually happened

A Scottish man has been arrested on hate crime charges after posting insane video of his girlfriend’s pug saluting Hitler.

Though the two-minute clip started making the rounds online early last month, British media just reported Monday news of the arrest.

“My girlfriend is always ranting and raving about how cute her dog is so I thought I would turn her into the least cute thing you could think of which is a Nazi,” 28-year-old Markus Meechan says at the start of the clip.

The video goes on to show the dog — whose name is Buddha — learning to jump up in excitement in response to the question, “Do you want to gas some Jews?”

The little pup also watches Hitler on TV and even responds by raising his paw in salute when Meechan says, “Sieg heil.”

The video, titled “M8 Yer Dugs A Nazi” has been viewed more than 1.2 million times…

“I would ask anyone who has had the misfortune to have viewed it to think about the pain and hurt the narrative has caused a minority of people in our community [according to Detective Inspector David Cockburn].

“The clip is deeply offensive and no reasonable person can possibly find the content acceptable in today’s society.”

Dude, it’s funny. The only unreasonable person here is Mr. Cockburn. Can you imagine being this far up your own ass? Hopefully he’s being made to say that hogwash by his superiors, but it reads like he really believes it. Under this kind of regime, John Cleese would be a criminal nowadays.

No shock then (as noted by PrisonPlanet) that he’s one of the leading critics of politically correct culture run amok. If you find that “Nazi Dog” video offensive, you have no sense of humor. But if you find it criminal, you’re a disgusting piece of trash. there really is no middle ground on this one for me. Unfortunately, the decriminalization of speech continues pretty much unabated.
