Extreme Islamist Messages Inserted Into Marvel’s New X-Men: Gold Comic

X-Men

This one is a dozy…

Marvel Artist Ardian Syaf Hid Anti-Christian And Jewish Messages In This Week’s X-Men Comic

In Indonesia, 212 is the number used to denote a specific mass protest from 2nd December last year. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims marched against the Christian governor of Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, known as Ahok,, over allegations of blasphemy regarding his use of the Qu’ran in campaigning against opponents. The march was organised, in part, with the National Movement to Safeguard the Indonesian Ulema Council’s Fatwa. It was pretty hardline conservative and the protest demanded the government prosecute and jail Ahok based on the council’s fatwa, declaring him to be a blasphemer. This year, a 212 2.0 march with similar aims was held on the 21st of February…

Ahok caused a great deal of controversy in Indonesia after he referred to a verse in the Qur’an while campaigning, specifically the verse Al Maidah 5: 51 and said that people should not believe Islamic leaders who claim it forbids Muslims from being led by non-Muslims. He has since repeatedly apologised for his statements, but it hasn’t stemmed the protest.

The verse translates into English as “O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are, in fact, allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is one of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.”

The number 212 and 51 appears in a scene of X-Men Gold #1 by Indonesian artist Ardian Syaf, published last Wednesday, with comic book character Kitty Pryde addressing the crowd…

Later in the comic, on Colossus’ shirt, we see the letters and numbers QS 5:51 referring to that verse. QS stands for Qur’an Surah, with Surah meaning chapter.

UPDATE: Marvel has responded…

Marvel’s statement, provided to ComicBook.com, is as follows:

The mentioned artwork in X-Men Gold #1 was inserted without knowledge behind its reported meanings. These implied references do not reflect the views of the writer, editors or anyone else at Marvel and are in direct opposition of the inclusiveness of Marvel Comics and what the X-Men have stood for since their creation. • I don’t read comics, but personally, I’d give this guy credit for being a lot more subtle than the other propagandists at Marvel. I mean, it is a pretty shitty and dangerously intolerable message to believe in, but it is still the guy’s opinion nevertheless, and thankfully, an obscure background reference is all it ended up being….. at least for now. I wouldn’t blame anyone for being wary of him inserting more blatant propaganda over time, as has become the trend for pretty much anyone working at Marvel nowadays.

  • Grust

Good thing that with the exception of Deadpool, I never really cared for Marvel. DC is far superior as DC has the Joker.

    • Toastrider

Now if DC could only figure out how to make a decent movie…

      • Grust

Well they make decent animated movies. Live-Action yeah you win. But still, DC has the Joker and as long as they have him, my love will never die.

        • Toastrider

The problem with the Joker is that he’s committed so many atrocities, there’s really no tangible reason to not twist his head off.

The shocking part of the Injustice game storyline wasn’t that Superman put his fist through Joker’s chest; it was that everyone was surprised by it.

          • Grust

He’s been killed lots of times.

          • Phasmatis75

From what I remember it was because of what Superman was supposed to stand for.

        • Phasmatis75

They used to make decent animation until the SJWs took over. Now it’s just none stop garbage.

      • GG

        THIS guy.

    • GG

you realize that the two characters you mentioned had been ruined the last 2 to 4 years due to being ‘le edgy teenagers’ favorites, right?

      • Grust

Well then, good thing I’m a manchild then.

  • Kellen Joel

Interesting… I thought that Liberals treated Jews as being still oppressed.

    • Danlantic

And there we have the original definition of “the regressive left” by an ex-Moslem atheist, Maajid Nawaz. Exceptions for long-standing principals to shy away from Islam.

    • Lost Question

no jews are now ‘white people’ unless they get use them for virtue signaling.

    • Phasmatis75

Nope, Jews were idiots and separated themselves from Whites. SJWs their creation hate them more that the alt right does.

  • Blake Donohoo

Hilarious penultimate in terms of the fruit that liberalism plants.

For those who don’t follow comics, Marvel has recently had incredibly crappy comic sales compared to DC in the wake of DC’s “Rebirth”. Besides the success of DC’s return to former legacy, marvel has been criticized for eschewing legacy in place of diversity replacements. These include a black teenage girl as the new Iron Man, female Thor, Ice Man randomly becoming gay, Asian Hulk, black Moon Girl instead of Moon Boy, Blade replaced by his daughter, the same with Wolverine.

This right here is the fruit of liberalism and multicultural crap. Sure, it is pretty slick and crafty, but do you think he would have pulled this stunt in a more conservative environment?

    • Toastrider

The word is that Marvel is shelving the big ‘diversity push’ indefinitely, because it’s cost them, big time.

There’s nothing wrong with new legacy characters being different, but you have to make it more than just ‘black Iron Man’, ‘female Thor’, ‘Muslim Ms. Marvel’. That’s just descriptors. There has to be actual PLOT. Characterization. Ms. Marvel managed it (barely), but femThor fell flat for me, and you don’t want to know my opinion of the new Iron (Wo)Man.

To say nothing of the stupid retcon-a-rama around Iceman’s sexuality. Good grief.

      • Blake Donohoo

Lol I actually wanna know about how you feel about Iron Weave

She seemed like the Marvel equivalent of Duke Thomas.

        • Toastrider

Essentially? It’s the same bitch I had about femThor. It’s shoehorned in to fill someone’s fucking diversity quota.

And at least femThor had the good grace to be a character FROM the Thor continuity (spoiler: Jane Foster).

It doesn’t feel like an organic continuation of the story. It didn’t try to fill in a vague spot in prior continuity (Blue Beetle actually did this in its initial run, quite nicely I might add). They’ve just spawned this new character out of whole cloth and expected people to accept her. DOESN’T WORK.

          • Blake Donohoo

Sounds like a crappy miles morales

    • Phasmatis75

So DC dropped the whole new 52 or whatever it was and returned to form?

      • GG

        yes

        • Phasmatis75

Sweet, what comics would you recommend?

  • Mr0303

Good on Marvel – they responded the correct way in this case. This just shows how sneaky Muslims can be when they spread their propaganda.

    • Alex Barbu

Unless they fire whoever was responsible, they didn’t respond the correct way.

      • Mr0303

I don’t see this as a huge offence, so a warning would be sufficient, but if he repeats it he should get the boot.

    • Yarlg

Marvel wouldn’t agree with your last sentence there.

    • fnd

Nah, this just goes to show double standards on their part. What’s X-men about anyway, a bunch of superhumans who complains about normie (justified) racism while being terrorists fucks in the other half. The last X-men movie even forgave the terrorist Magneto just because he switched sides at the end, forget about all the normal humans he killed in the process(in all movies). The muslim message was quite moderate compared to the entertainment industry business as usual.

Wait so was Colossus as blasphemous as Ahok by referencing the same script? And then is Syaf also just as blasphemous?

  • whahappenedbruh

Marvel gets caught, gently walks back, slaps a wrist, still blathers about “muh inclusiveness”.

  • fnd

If the message was just anti-christian they woudn’t pull the plug, see Illuminaty symbolism.
