Someone asked me the other day, “What should I do to get my site going?” Now, I’m often asked this question, since I have a moderately successful blog and people look for me to give them tips, etc. I have no problem doing so, in fact, I’m flattered every time this happens. My advice usually never changes much, though. The main thing you need to do if you’re trying to get started with a site like this is write. Every. Single. Day.

Of course, it’s better if the writing is about something substantial or of interest to your audience. I try to tailor my output to the things that interest you guys. But some days, you just don’t feel like working. I realize this isn’t that hard of a gig, in the grand scheme of things. I’m not a coal miner, or a soldier, or anything that takes any real risk or hardship. Still, I just don’t feel like typing away on certain days, for whatever reason. Sometimes it’s just me being a lazy shitbird.

Today is one of those shitbird days, but yet, here I am. Even though I don’t really feel like writing, I figured why not take a post to wish you all a Happy Easter and ask you what you had going on for the holiday. It’s kind of strange for me, because I’m not really at all religious, but I love many of the religious celebrations like Easter and especially Christmas. I think it’s because it reminds me of being a kid. Also, I always get to have a stacked meal, so that’s definitely a plus.

Chime in with your thoughts on the day, if you’re not too busy. I have a guest post coming, that I’ll go ahead and get up for you guys. Even with all the above said, I’ll probably come back here and do a post or two myself after a good dinner. So look out for those as well.

Other than that, enjoy the rest of your Easter!\

UPDATE: I broke comments, somehow. They’re working again now, though.
