Some hack who writes for Politico made the mistake of asking Twitter about the Pepe the Frog. Admittedly, I had no idea what the hell Pepe was before GamerGate. I think I’d seen it a couple times while surfing around, or during one of my few jaunts to chanland. But I had no idea what it meant or how to interpret it. I just assumed it was some bizarre comedy, which in hindsight, I guess isn’t too far off what it actually is.
