I caught a lot of heat off the Mass Effect: Andromeda post from earlier this year. All I did was take a woman to task over her claims about having been a “Lead Facial Animator” for the game. It turns out she had somewhat inflated her role on the project, which is supposed to make me feel bad, I guess? In reality, knowing that I took a liar to the woodshed makes me feel great. Also, she clearly did work on ME:A, and that work has been pilloried across the galaxy. Unlike “reformed” SJWs such as Ian Miles Cheong, I don’t feel the need to apologize for wrecking bad actors within the gaming industry. Then again, he’s a fraud who turned against his old mates simple to collect more shekels.

Bullies. Witch Hunt. White-knighting for “muh strong female in the game industry.” It’s almost like Cheong is full of shit and is really still neck-high in social justice speak. Anyway, that’s not why I came here today. I don’t put much stock into any critiques coming from Murdoch’s minority hire in the first place, for the reasons stated above. The reason I’m doing this article is to celebrate. BioWare took a massive hit with this pile of garbage, so much so that the studio responsible for it has sidelined and the Mass Effect series, at least the Andromeda strain of it, is on ice.

In the wake of BioWare’s polarizing Mass Effect: Andromeda, fans have wondered where the lauded sci-fi series will go next. The answer, according to people familiar with the studio, is nowhere—at least for the time being. BioWare has put Mass Effect on hiatus and turned Andromeda’s developer, BioWare Montreal, into a support studio, according to four sources close to the company.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Mass Effect. I can’t say enough positive things about the original trilogy. Sure, there was some clunkiness and negatives as well, but I love Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 is one of my all-time favorites, and Mass Effect 3 was brilliant…other than the botched ending. I’m actually playing through them again over on my Twitch channel. It’s been a lot of fun reliving those classics. I even downloaded Andromeda, for the free, of course. I don’t know if I’ll actually go through with playing it, but it’s at least possible.

The answer for the series seems rather simple to me. Bring back Shepard, the protagonist of the original trilogy. I know some of you will say the ending forbids that, or give some other reason it can’t happen. To you I say, “You’re wrong.” Of course it can happen. Just make-up whatever bullshit excuse you have to and bring the guy (or gal, if you used FemShep) back. I would likely buy the game and ignore whatever bogus plot construction BioWare had to come up with in order to make it happen. I bet a lot of “normie” gamers skipped Andromeda for this reason alone. “No Shepard? Fuck this, I don’t wanna waste my time.”

To be fair, It probably didn’t help that the main character they showcased this time looked like she had a severe case of Down syndrome, perhaps mixed in with fetal alcohol syndrome. Still, I think the game would have sold much better, even with all the problems it had, simply with Shepard in the game. Bringing the commander back seems like a no-brainer, at least for me.

The other no-brainer is that we all were right to pile-on BioWare and the lying Ms. Leost. Maybe this will actually knock some sense into BioWare and their Electronic Arts overlords. I mean, I won’t bet the farm on it. There’s a lot of retardation there. But, losing millions upon millions of dollars sometimes has the effect of focusing the mind towards more profitable fan-friendly ventures. We’ll see if that’s the case this time.
