Earlier this evening, my Twitter was locked for 12 hours. This isn’t the first time this has happened. In fact, by my count, it’s the 5th. But with all the bans going down as of late, I think the final banhammer might be swinging down onto my head soon. I hope not, because even with all it’s problems, I’ve always been a fan of Twitter. I sincerely want it to succeed. The reason I criticize it on free speech grounds is because of how far it’s fallen from it’s original mission. Not only is it legitimately sad to see, it’s also a poor business decision, in my opinion.

(My last tweet before the ban…lol)

Anyway, we’ll see what happens. I hope I’m able to ride out this recent wave of Twitter censorship, but I might not be able to. I am over on Gab, though, so feel free to follow me there. I think the service has grown leaps and bounds in the short time I’ve been there. Will it be here 5 years for now? I can’t say. But I can say that I like the way they’re going and I hope to see them continue to make progress. Is it perfect? No, but I think it’s a great haven for freer speech than what you now see on Twitter itself.

UPDATE: Here’s what it was for (I was joking, by the way)…
