There are certain things that make my blood boil. One of them is how ultra-leftist activists are trying to turn our colleges into safe space zones by squelching out any kind of speech they deem politically incorrect. But it doesn’t just stop with speech. They also want to restrict the types of costumes you can wear for Halloween. Yes, these people really do have nothing better to do with their lives. Policing costumes seems like the most asinine thing one could ever partake in, but SJWs think it’s real activism. No, it’s actually bullying, although these clowns are too dumb to see it. Anyway, let me stop ranting and explain just what is going on, for those who don’t already know.

From The Washington Post

They also condemned an e-mail from the associate master of Silliman College, one of Yale’s 12 undergraduate residential communities, to Silliman residents that argued that people should not be offended by insensitive Halloween costumes and should instead tolerate them and talk about them. That message came in response to a plea from Yale officials that the university community “take the time to consider their costumes and the impact it may have,” citing possible outfits including “feathered headdresses, turbans, wearing ‘war paint’ or modifying skin tone or wearing blackface or redface.”

The associate master, Erika Christakis, wrote to the campus community criticizing efforts to proscribe certain types of dress, particularly for young people, while also noting: “I don’t wish to trivialize genuine concerns about cultural and personal representation.”

“I don’t, actually, trust myself to foist my Halloweenish standards and motives on others. I can’t defend them anymore than you could defend yours,” wrote Christakis, a lecturer at the Yale Child Study Center and the wife of Nicholas Christakis, a sociologist and physician and the master of Silliman College. “Nicholas says, if you don’t like a costume someone is wearing, look away, or tell them you are offended. Talk to each other. Free speech and the ability to tolerate offence are the hallmarks of a free and open society.”

That article doesn’t really tell the full story, though. Take a look at how fucking mental these people are. Can you ever imagine being this big of a pussy?

What is happening to the younger generations? I know older people always tried to call my age cohort coddled, but this shit is ridiculous. It’s his job to take care of us? No, you’re an adult. You’re supposed to be taking care of yourself, or at least attempting to. Freaking out over fucking Halloween costumes is the height of infantilism. It’s hard for me to think of anything more pointless.

Oh, here’s the video of them berating the professor, by the way. I might have taken a swing at one of the little punks.

To his credit, the man in question, Silliman College Master Nicholas Christakis, isn’t backing down. I guess a bunch of wet behind the ears losers trashing your wife doesn’t exactly make you want to compromise

“I apologize for causing pain, but I am not sorry for the statement,” Christakis, whose wife was not present, told the crowd, his voice raised. “I stand behind free speech. I defend the right for people to speak their minds.”

The gathering quickly became tense and confrontational after his shouted response. Several students screamed at Christakis, calling him “disgusting” and using expletives. They told Christakis they do not feel welcome in Silliman, noting that students usually look to their masters to advocate for them, but they are now unwilling to even receive their diplomas from him at graduation. Many said he should be removed from his post.

Christakis continued to defend his wife’s email, even jabbing his finger toward the individual students he was addressing. The conversation soon became a shouting match as both Christakis and the students tried to make themselves heard.

Disillusioned, about half of the crowd left the gathering within the hour, finding their demands for an apology from the couple unanswered. Those who stayed continued to express their frustration.

Later Thursday evening, Christakis hosted a Master’s Tea with Greg Lukianoff, president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, a nonprofit organization committed to defending individual rights on American college campuses. At the tea, which has been planned since July and is not in response to this week’s events, Christakis said recent discussions have redoubled his resolve and appreciation for the value of free speech.

Same here, Mr. Christakis. This shit only makes me want to defend free speech even more. A bunch of SJW thugs aren’t going to make me back off my constitutional rights. Their feelings don’t come into the equation when I decide what to say or do. If they have a problem with someone’s costume, they need to address it with that person on their own. It’s not up to administrators to be their babysitter. If stuff like this has you unable to even function in life, then you need mental help, and lots of it. Consider checking yourselves into an inpatient care facility. Seriously.

Killstream is tonight at 6PM EST. I’m very eager to hear what Janet Bloomfield has to say about the week we had. So tune in and check it out for yourself. I may or may not be back with another column before then. I’m sorry the streaming has gotten in the way of my work here this week, but I feel like it was a necessary evil. Thanks for reading, as always.
