Conservatives And DUP Agree On A Deal To Support A Minority Government

The general election results were a shock for everyone, but I think it the worst for May. Not only did she not get more seat, she made Conservatives lose their majority. As a result, she had to turn to the one party that was thirsty enough for power to support her. And it worked. Even though she is in a worse off she was pre-general election, May has managed to JUST hold on to power by 2 seats with her new alliance.

The agreement has come after two weeks of talks and a £1 billion check to Northern Ireland. The DUP will also support the Tories on all Brexit matters. At least we don’t have to worry about the DUP pushing for the open borders bullshit. Of course, the Good Friday Agreement will be upheld as anyone with a brain knew it would be.

So it seems despite Jeremy Corbyn making a fool of himself at Glastonbury Festival and Sinn Fein accusing of May of not honouring the Good Friday Agreement, the Conservatives still won.

That is not how you pull a pint, sir.

It’ll be interesting to see how this government works out, we are all aware of what a failure the Conservative-Lib Dem government was.

I won’t lie, I don’t have much faith in May after reading that ridiculous manifesto. Her public speaking skills don’t do her much good either, especially when you see her interview with Andrew Neil linked above. Despite my personal feeling towards her, I’m hoping she pulls through on Brexit. She was right to say that there were only two choices, her or Corbyn and Corbyn would have fucked us all over. There was no choice but to pick her. I very much doubt she’ll serve the full 5 years, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were already moves to throw her off the throne as soon as possible. As for the DUP? My opinion is that they won’t last two years.

Well, I guess we’ll just wait and see.

There is a fair amount of speculation that May was deliberately trying to wreck the existing government, after the surprise Brexit vote. There really wasn’t any need for her to hold this election.

On a side note, Nora, I see a message from Ralph in the Twitter scroll. Wasn’t he in for six months? He was going to be out before SB52 anyways (unless my math is shit).

  • I remember months ago when Brexit won, Theresa May was praised as the savior of the country, even by conservatives.

Turns out that she’s just another authoritarian SJW leftist in disguise. One that wants to completely censor the Internet and control and spy on what people do online. All for the sake of “combating terrorism”.

No wonder she lost so many seats.

At least you dodged the bullet from Corbyn. That fucking Marxist who wouldn’t retaliate with nukes if his own country were nuked into oblivion. The man deserves to fired from a canon, into the damn sun.
