I actually thought this divorce might never come, especially after reports that Huma Abedin was reconciling with her disgraced husband Anthony Weiner. I guess the plea he made in federal court today made such efforts untenable. He’s facing years in prison for sexting a 15-year-old girl about his rape fantasies, which was pretty bad even taking into account the lecherous standards of Mr. Weiner.

From the NY Post

Huma Abedin has finally filed for divorce against Anthony Weiner, just as her estranged husband pleaded guilty to sexting with a minor.

She brought an anonymous versus anonymous action in Manhattan Supreme Court Friday.

She’s asking for the court to seal the case.

The filing is uncontested meaning she is not expecting a fight over custody or the couple’s assets.

I think Weiner has run out of fighting spirit, given his weeping appearance today in court. To be honest, I do think the guy has a sickness, but he’s known that for years. If he had truly wanted to get better, he would have ditched the internet altogether, at least for a period of years. Instead, he caught caught up time and time again. Now, he’ headed to jail.

Federal jail is pretty nice when compared to state jail, though, so at least there’s that.

      1. More than likely you’re on the blocklist he put in when people ranted against him for booting Clark.

        1. I got the impression it wasn’t so much Ken White that pushed Clark out as it was his commenters. The Popehat articles themselves are generally pretty spot on (even if you don’t agree with the politics), but the comment sections are a stinking mass of leftist asshattery. The reaction to Marc Randazza going on Infowars, for example — because Randazza wouldn’t decry Infowars as Evilthink, the commenters were whining and bitching.

I just don’t see Randazza staying there much longer either, simply due to the fair-weather free speech tendencies of so many of the commenters.

          1. No, Ken definitely pushed Clark out. It wasn’t just the whole “I’m going to side with Vox Day that people with depression are mentally weak.” thing either. When Clark said to Ken that adopting Asian kids made him a race traitor, that was pretty much the final straw.

          2. *shrug* I never saw that, so I can’t testify to it.

I -can- say that not banhammering some of those toxic fuckwits doesn’t reflect well on Ken. Or at the very least, calling them out on their hypocrisy. Then again, hypocrisy really is a defining leftist trait, isn’t it?

    1. Club Fed has higher-status criminals than Penn State, and older and well-known guys like Weiner go into low-security prisons at that. So it’ll be like the prison in ‘Orange Is The New Black’ except full of older white dudes – no fun, but survivable.

  1. The sudden resurgence of muh Russia makes sense now, misdirection to prevent people from watching the spectacle as the DNC continues burning to the ground.
