I saw this story a couple of days ago, so I apologize if you’ve already heard about it. I’m still gonna write about it anyway, because it makes me sick. You see, a local school decided that they wanted to do away with Valentine’s Day celebrations on their campus. In and of itself, that’s not a huge deal. Perhaps the principal thought it was cutting into study time, or proving to be an unwelcome distraction for the kids. I can think of several good reasons to stop school-sanctioned celebrations of the holiday, in fact. One of them wouldn’t be because it’s a “dominant holiday,” though. Oh yea, I forgot to mention that they’re doing away with several other holidays as well, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I don’t even know “dominant” holiday is supposed to mean, truth be told. Thankfully, we have Scott Masini to tell us all about it

With Valentine’s Day a little more than two weeks away, Masini noted, “I have come to the difficult decision to discontinue the celebration of the dominant holidays until we can come to a better understanding of how the dominant view will suppress someone else’s view.”…

The letter listed the holidays that the East Side school will no longer celebrate as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. Masini said the decision was made in consultation with his staff.

“One of the concerns that I have,” Masini wrote, “ … is whether or not this practice is encroaching on the educational opportunities of others and threatening the culture of tolerance and respect for all…Because Saint Paul Public Schools is a diverse district that is filled with families from around the world we strive to respect all cultures and all students. We recognize that not every student celebrates or participates in some or all holidays.”

I have a suggestion. Perhaps these third worlders should go to school in their own shitty countries if they can’t get down with our holidays? Also, it reads like this sissy of a principal just did this on his own, without said third worlders even complaining. Maybe I’m wrong, but he sounds like the typical white guilt idiot that we see all to often nowadays. At least he threw in one line about educational opportunities, but it was mostly hogwash that you could have taken off some random Salon column.

There’s a direct correlation between things like this and support for Donald Trump. People are tired of the political correctness that’s literally destroying our culture in the name of inclusivity. Even if you don’t care for The Donald, I think many of you will understand how rage-inducing stuff like this is. They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. You see this clown talk about the cultures of tolerance and respect. What about tolerance and respect for our nation’s traditions? Or for the kids who still want to celebrate these holidays at school in some way? If they had infused any of these celebrations with religion, maybe I could understand. They didn’t, though. Even if you wanna make an excuse for doing away with Christmas on those grounds (even though I know many atheists who celebrate Xmas), what about the others?

The whole announcement is filled with SJW mumbo jumbo. By the way, they aren’t doing the students trying (and failing) to help any favors. This just makes them more of an alien presence in their new country. So thanks for making things even harder on your pupils, Mr. Masini. You’re a real contender for educator of the year after this brilliant move.
