As most of you know, we did an epic stream with Steve Polk last November. You can’t go see it now, because haters who want to kill my internet presence got that particular YouTube channel deleted. I’m still working to get it back, but to be honest with you guys and gals, that’s going to be an uphill battle with the way YouTube works. Somehow, I still have my very first channel, so we’ll see what happens. I’m going to look into some precautions I can take when I come off live streaming suspension there later this week. There’s a decent chance they will try to nuke it as well, though, let’s face it. BUT, that’s not why I’m here with you now. Instead, let’s talk about the Polk Family’s plans to rebuild.
Somehow, I missed this story a couple weeks ago…
It wasn’t until the next day she learned that sitting in a case in a smoke- and water-damaged closet were the plans to her home, where about nine people had lived before the fire.
In the two months since losing her home at 6015 Blue Court in unincorporated Crystal Lake, finding those plans has given her the most hope she’ll be able to rebuild and be back at home by the end of the year.
“Now we have a starting point,” Shirley Polk said. “We will use that. We knew this was going to be our home. We just fell in love with it. It had everything we asked for. Why change it? I want to end my days there.”…
The hardest part of the fire has been how it’s divided the family, they said. Joe Polk moved into his own place after the fire, as did Rich, 41. A family friend who was living there moved. Still living together are Jaime, 21-year-old Tony, and Steven, 30, who still live in the home with Shirley, Jayden and John…
“God works in mysterious ways,” Shirley Polk said. “You just have to follow the path. … When God closes a door, he opens a window. I choose to look out the window and see what path he’s going to take me down.”
Honestly, I do kinda feel bad for the family as a whole, but I don’t feel bad for Steve Polk. Also, it’s pretty funny how the same people trashing me, Liberal Lunacy Shannon, etc, are the ones who helped pimp the bogus Allison Prime story in the first place. They want me to apologize for imagined sleights, but they never own up to their own, massive failures. It’s a lot like Washington pundits who are never held to account for their own mistakes, but want to call everyone else out over nothing in order to divert attention.
I wouldn’t care if this woman and her family did rebuild, but I think they should have to do it on their own dime. Then again, if idiots like GG+ want to send them a check, I won’t stand in their way. They’re already burning money on dumb shit like AirPlay 2, so who am I to try and stop them?
