I can honestly say, even after 4 years of running this site full-time, I have never experienced the sheer level of insanity that I’ve seen over the last four weeks of running the #Killstream. Of course, I have been doing that very same show for years, but since it’s taken off in terms of viewers, I’ve become much more acquainted with the inherent absurdity and nuttiness of YouTube itself.

We’ve chronicled the continued fall of Baked Alaska on the show. One night, we had a litany of guests confront an alleged pedophile. Another program we produced dealt with circumcision and had callers go against one of its opponents. Last Friday, we had the ever-controversial Richard Spencer on as a guest. This list just barely scratches the surface in terms of the varied content the show has come up with over the last three-to-four weeks.

But one thing I haven’t been able to do is write, at least not very much. I underestimated just how much work is needed when you do 5 streams per week. Plus, some weeks I’ve ended up doing 6 or 7 streams, which is even crazier. Still, I miss the written word. There’s something about writing, planning out your thoughts and your barbs, the more personal aspect of it, that is attractive to me. Plus, I like reading more than I do watching/listening, so writing will always be slightly more appealing to me than broadcasting.

The good news is all the work has so far paid off, as the channel has now surpassed 10,000 subscribers and 1 million views, after years of being neglected by me. The bad news is I’ve written one post over the past two weeks, which is pathetic. Now that I’ve settled into this streaming thing, I’m going to rectify this by writing in the mornings and afternoons, and spending the rest of the day with show planning and preparation.

Also, there’s always a chance this YouTube thing will eventually die down (or I’ll get banned) and I’ll be back to writing full-time once again. I hope not, since I’m having a lot of fun, but these things are often fleeting. We shall see.

I thank you all for sticking with me and the site, regardless. If you haven’t checked out the #Killstream recently, I would urge you to give it a go. It has certainly been quite a ride as of late.

Now, I’m about to drive home and think about some afternoon articles…oh, and just what the hell to do tonight on the show. It truly never ends.
